Ogechi Peace Oriaku

Campbellsville University Undergraduate Sophomore

Peace Oriaku joined Sahu Research Group in Summer 2024 as a new lab member. Embracing her role, she dedicated her time to understanding the inner workings of the lab and the expectations associated with being a lab assistant. Her initial focus was familiarizing herself with the established procedures and protocols related to the KCNE3 membrane protein research.

Guidance from experienced team members proved invaluable as Peace engaged in hands-on training and collaborative discussions. She observed lab techniques, data collection methods, and learned the importance of meticulous documentation in research. Through these interactions, Peace developed a clearer perspective on the critical role of KCNE3 in cell physiology and the implications of the group's ongoing studies.

Peace contributed to ongoing experiments and discussions as she progressed, gradually transitioning from observation to active participation.

Peace is a Biology major and Psychology minor. We’re excited to see what’s next for Peace.
