Indra Dev Sahu, Ph.D.

I embarked on my life journey in a small village in Nepal. From there, I moved to a nearby city to pursue my undergraduate studies in Physical Science. My academic path then led me to the capital city of Nepal, where I earned my M.Sc. in Biomedical Physics. During this period, I was appointed as a Lecturer at the Central Department of Physics and the Central Department of Environmental Science at Tribhuvan University. This role provided me with invaluable experience in teaching and research in both core and applied physics.

My academic pursuits took a significant leap when I was selected for admission to the Ph.D. program in the Physics Department of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany. There, I completed my Ph.D. in 2009, specializing in experimental and computational Biomedical Physics. Following this, I joined Prof. Gary Lorigan’s lab for post-doctoral training, which further honed my research skills and expertise.

In 2013, my career advanced as I was promoted to the position of Research Scientist. Between 2017 and 2019, I expanded my teaching experience as a Visiting Faculty member at Miami University Middletown Campus. Subsequently, I joined Campbellsville University as an Assistant Professor of Physics in 2019. My dedication to teaching and research was recognized, and I am currently serving as an Associate Professor of Physics at Campbellsville University, Kentucky.

My current research focuses on Molecular Biophysics and Structural Biology. Specifically, I am interested in studying membrane proteins using molecular biology techniques, Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopic approaches, and Molecular Dynamics Modeling. In addition to my role at Campbellsville University, I also contribute as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Miami University, Ohio.

Throughout my career, I have strived to be a successful scientist, committed to advancing knowledge in my field and contributing to the broader scientific community.
